Welcome to the 2nd Annual Clermont Challenge – a day full of amazing races!For the past few winters I have been training in Clermont, FL a wonderful break from the winter weather of Massachusetts. One of my favorite places to train is Lake Louisa State Park; the running trails are beautiful, the roads are quiet and the lake is perfectly calm. For me it is the ultimate place to train and race.
The sport of triathlon has fulfilled my life with strong relationships with friends, competitors, and sponsors. I am passionate about giving back to the sport that I love.
For the past couple years, I have been working to create a draft legal race for age groupers in Clermont, Florida. There is no race like this in the United States and I am quite excited to bring this event to Florida. Draft legal racing is such a thrilling event to race and to watch. For the athlete it is constant effort and a totally different race experience. For the spectators they will be able to constantly cheer their friends and family.
This race also provides a perfect early season competition for those athletes who prefer the standard non-drafting style of racing. We offer this too!
