Clermont Youth F1 Race
F1 Draft Legal Rules
The Clermont Challenge staged the first ever age group draft legal race in the country back in 2010. Today, we are proud to deliver again with TWO DAYS of exciting Youth F1 races which will bring top talent from around the country to race draft legal. Based on the high desire to race in these races, we expect the race fields to fill very quickly.
Each race on both days is limited to 75 female and 75 male athletes. The minimum age requirement is 12 years of age and a maximum age of 16 years of age (age on 12/31/17).
The distances for this super sprint race are a 375 meter swim, 10k bike (2 loops), and 2.5k run (1 loop). This is a draft legal event officiated in accordance with ITU Competition Rules. This race will offer a terrific race experience as all athletes will race on the same course as the elite athletes.
Due to the popularity of this event, we highly encourage athletes and their parents to sign up soon.
PARENTS: THE LAP OUT RULE IS IN EFFECT FOR THIS EVENT.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All Youth F1 athletes are required to attend a pre-race meeting the evening of Friday, March 3rd. If this presents a problem from a travel perspective we accommodate on a case by case basis. Thank you.
