Welcome to the Clermont Draft Legal - an incredible weekend of racing in March featuring 14 separate draft-legal races!

Since co-founding this event with Bill Burnett in 2010, I’ve watched Clermont grow into a must-race early-season destination for talented athletes from across the country. Year after year, athletes come to Central Florida to test themselves, compete against strong fields, and kick off their season — and 2027 is shaping up to be one of our best weekends yet.

This two-day event features an exciting lineup of back-to-back USA TRI Cup races (formerly the U25 EDR), along with 10 additional draft-legal races for athletes of different ages and levels. There truly is something for everyone, making Clermont a one-of-a-kind draft-legal racing weekend in the United States.

Lake Louisa State Park is also one of my favorite places to train. With its beautiful running trails, quiet roads, and calm, pristine lake, it provides an incredible setting for both training and racing. I think you’ll enjoy racing here as much as I have enjoyed training here over the years.
