Welcome to the Clermont Draft Legal - an incredible weekend in March featuring fourteen separate draft-legal races!
Since co-founding this event with Bill Burnett in 2010, I’ve watched it grow into a must race weekend for top talent from across the country. Each year, the Clermont Draft Legal brings athletes to Central Florida for early season competition, and 2026 is shaping up to be one of our best yet.
This two-day event features an exciting lineup of back-to-back Elite Development Races (EDR), Youth Draft Legal Races, College events, and Age Group Draft Legal races — truly a one-of-a-kind weekend in the United States!
One of my favorite places to train is Lake Louisa State Park. With its beautiful running trails, quiet roads, and calm, pristine lake, it’s the ultimate setting for both training and racing. I think you’ll love it as much as I do.
