USA Triathlon Membership:
All athletes must be members of USA Triathlon (USAT) to compete. If you do not have an annual membership, a one-day membership can be purchased during the registration process.

Race Day Cancellation and/or Changes:
In the event of adverse weather conditions, Acts of God, or unforeseen circumstances that prevent the race from proceeding as planned, please note:

  • There is no rain date; the event will take place rain or shine.

  • Management reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, alter the race course, modify the event (including removing one or more segments: swim, bike, or run), or cancel the race entirely.

  • While every effort will be made to adhere to the published race course and schedule, external factors may necessitate changes.

  • Refunds cannot be provided for any entry type in the event of changes or cancellations beyond our control.

Registration Protection Insurance:
We understand that unexpected circumstances can happen. The Cohasset Triathlon offers an opt-in to purchase registration projection offered by RegShield, a FanShield product. RegShield gives peace of mind by reimbursing the cost of your registration fee, should you be unable to attend the event due to several covered reasons including accident, illness and family emergency. Participants may not add coverage after a registration has been purchased.

Deferral Policy:
Athletes may defer their participation for any reason, subject to a $75 fee. Requests must be submitted at least 60 days before race day. Please note that deferrals cannot be extended beyond one year.

Transfer Policy:
The transfer, sale, or exchange of race numbers is strictly prohibited. However, we can assist with transferring your registration to another athlete through our registration platform. Both parties must notify us at least 45 days before race day to complete this process.
